Myths#2 Nutrition and Food

Eat, drink and sleep, the 3 common actions we do a day. And when it comes to myths regarding eat and drink, it become essential for us to buster the myths because they somehow mislead us and cause us some consequences.





Myth: I love eat red meat, but it's not healthy so I stop all and only pick up white meat.
Truth: Generally,white meat has less fat and higher protein compare to the red meat.BUT,as long as you go for lean meat, both should be alright and it reduce health risks. Never ever go too much on meat.


Myth: Drink cold water after meal will cause cancer or fat will be solidified.
Truth: Any food or water reaching stomach will be upon body temperature regardless their initial temperature.Stop passing those chain mails.


Myth: It's OK if I skip my breakfast.
Truth: Nothing had been go into our stomach for hours, it's important to break the fasting with simple breakfast. Study show that we can't get all the nutrients even we catch up with lunch later.


Myth: Shark fin is good for health and can prevent cancer.
Truth: Shark fins soup is proven contain less vitamin that that of vegetable soup, can't prevent cancer and studied showed that it may even cause men sterility.Save the sharks and save your child.


Myth: Banana is sweet hence fattening.
Truth: Banana are actually low in fat, only half a gram of fat or calories and rich in potassium.


Myth: Human should drink 2 litres water a day.
Truth: No scientific research showed that we should drink 2 litres of water a day.It's better to drink according to your thirst and urination.Keep yourself hydrated and comfortable all the time.


Myth: Low fat diets are definitely healthy and best way to lose weight.
Truth: Very low fat or no fat diets may don't provide enough energy for healthy growth. Exercise combined with a balanced diet is more likely to reap rewards in the long run.
